Labor Protection Exhibition | Digital Intelligence Upgrades Construction Site Safety Management

The Labor Protection Exhibition has learned that Anhui Construction Engineering Water Conservancy, relying on the Jingyun Smart Construction Site 3.0 system, is upgrading construction site safety management through digital and intelligent means. This is driving safety control from passive rectification to active prediction, using technology to weave a tighter safety protection net for engineering projects.

High-risk areas such as high slopes and deep foundation pits on construction sites are difficult for manual inspection, with numerous blind spots. The company has built a drone airport and deployed AI-powered fully automatic drone patrols. With 720° panoramic photography for comprehensive area inspection, the equipment can accurately identify slope hazards, non-compliant construction, and missing protective measures. Large-scale, high-frequency patrols compensate for the shortcomings of manual inspection, eliminating various visual blind spots.

Addressing the problems of monotonous traditional pre-shift safety education and inadequate implementation, the project has launched an AI intelligent pre-shift education system. The platform pushes risk alerts, operation standards, and accident cases based on the day's construction content and trade types, with supporting online assessments and full documentation. Combined with facial recognition control, personnel who have not completed the training or failed the assessment are prohibited from starting work, effectively reducing habitual violations by frontline workers.

Personnel dynamic control relies on smart safety helmets for real-time supervision. The devices integrate positioning, electronic fencing, hazard warning, and one-key emergency call functions. The backend can capture anomalies in real time, such as personnel entering danger zones, remaining stationary for extended periods, or leaving their posts. It supports trajectory and video playback, enabling advance risk warning and significantly shortening emergency response time.

High-altitude operation risks are managed intelligently through smart safety harnesses. The equipment is equipped with infrared sensing modules that monitor wearing and hook-up status in real time, with immediate voice alerts for non-compliant operations. Data is simultaneously uploaded to the management platform, allowing managers to remotely monitor high-altitude work dynamics and reduce the probability of fall accidents through intelligent constraints.

Since the deployment of the series of intelligent safety equipment, the project control results have been outstanding: drone patrol hazard identification accuracy has improved by over 40%, with a 100% hazard closed-loop rectification rate; AI pre-shift education has achieved full coverage, with a 96% personnel safety assessment pass rate and a 65% year-on-year decrease in habitual violations; smart safety helmets have reduced on-site violation rates by 58% and halved emergency response time; smart safety harnesses have increased high-altitude hazard identification rates by 90%, raising standard harness wearing rates from 72% to 99.5%. The entire system forms a complete closed loop of pre-event warning, in-process intervention, and post-event review, creating a replicable smart construction site safety model.

Moving forward, Anhui Construction Engineering Water Conservancy will continue to deepen the integration of digital technology and safety production, optimize AI recognition algorithms, upgrade the drone patrol system, accelerate the comprehensive promotion of intelligent protective equipment, and expand smart application scenarios across the entire construction cycle. The company will continue to use technology to solidify safety responsibilities, continuously build digital, standardized smart construction sites, rely on technological strength to maintain the bottom line of safety production, and promote high-quality development of engineering construction.
